Pros

Involved in a ton of industries for being a small company, so company risk is diversified. Company growth outlook is very positive. Extremely talented engineers. Dynamic work environment. Competitive compensation (for the area). Good benefits. Senior leadership are engineers at heart, so the work is cutting edge, challenging, and highly technical. You will never be bored working here.

Cons

Company is going through extreme growth so there are definitely growing pains (new policies that are sometimes clunky, office space is becoming extra “cozy”). Employees are expected to be self motivated and highly productive…if that’s not you, you will probably struggle. Compensation is fair, but not as high as west coast tech companies (but benefits are mostly better).

Pros

1) Execs are engaged and fully hands-on. This is a motivating factor. 2) Relaxed work environment and friendly co-workers are a plus. 3) Several company-sponsored events throughout the year, which make things lighter. 4) The company is small enough to allow you to wear multiple hats with significant autonomy. 5) Cool projects and technology formerly focused on Department of Defense customers, but now making strides in commercial markets.

Cons

Multiple, competing deadlines at any given time can translate to high stress; Fast-paced (sometimes a frenetic pace ) Some management gaps, but all attributable to growing pains.
