Pros

One thing I enjoy about working here is that policy and expectations are clear and fairly applied. There are no unspoken rules, supervisors aren't keeping tabs on who is the first in and last out, and the organization respects employee's home/work life balance. The organization also hires quality people; coworkers make the effort to make it an enjoyable work environment and avoid interpersonal drama. Supervisors take a respectful, positive-reinforcement approach to managing their employees and really try to assist those employees who are struggling in some area.

Pros

I love working with my clients. It is my favorite part of the job. I love being able to make a difference in someone's life even if only a small part. The compensation and benefit package are good. Health insurance premiums are high but good coverage and the 401K match is 6% which is really nice. The PTO package is also very much a benefit! Enjoy being able to work independently and not be micro-managed.

Cons

Upper management does not listen to staff concerns. They come up with ideas or new policies and instead of implementing on a trial basis/test group or listening to concerns from the staff who actually do the work, they just ignore and redirect. When you bring concerns or comments to their attention, they make you feel that you are the problem and not the process. It is very frustrating. You also are often felt left out if not in a large office and do not get same work place benefits. Often made to feel replaceable and undervalued by upper management. No room to advance without either relocating or changing programs.

Pros

FSC evolves with growing industry changes, supports younger generational and technological changes, and encourages staff/employees to provide input to improve services to customers, as well as within our FSC offices. On-going trainings and learning opportunities are provided consistently, and innovation in our service delivery is encouraged and supported. FSC is committed to ensuring it's employee's receive support on all levels and provides above average benefits (PTO, Health Insurance, etc.) to its full-time employees. Overall, FSC is a great Corporation to work for!!
