Growing and Developing - Four Winds is getting better

Pros

The company is finally investing in people - the people here are great and it looks like the leaders are starting to recognize how important their people are. Training of managers is making a difference - my manager is much better than he was many months ago - he told me he has been going to training and we can see the difference - he actually listens to us now! The biggest positive is that some leaders and managers are working on making things better.

Cons

The greatest challenge is the emotional outbursts of some of the leaders, but I think they are getting better. Some still have pretty big egos, but they seem to be better at controlling their emotions. Change is still constant, but processes seem to be improving. We understand we may actually get pay increases in April. Having rigid office hours is treating us like cattle - we are all professionals, but we are treated like factory workers that are not trusted!

Pros

The product is pretty solid. There are some really smart people who care about the product. The employees who put out the final product really care and work hard.

Cons

Besides the arrogant, and often incompetent management, FWi treats the employees who do the actual work, horribly. Many employees still live at home with their parents because FWi does not pay a decent wage for the cost of living in Denver. Good looking women and the sales department are paid the most. There's lots of drinking on the premises. The health benefits are not that great. If you travel on company business, you have to pay for everything, and then file for reimbursement. The company likes to hire "sexy cool" people (their words). The environment is often like a popularity contest or frat house - very immature.
