Very rigid localised culture, Not welcoming for non-tamil speaker

1) A lot to learn and gain valuable experience 2) Flexi timing, no restriction of any kind, ideal for self motivated folks

Cons

1) 90% communication, even work related is in tamil, and seems impossible to change, this issue is not related to Freshdesk, its a Chennai issue, local people wont speak other language. Even management, CEO, HR people talk in tamil all the time, so u cant expect any thing from employees. 2) Moderate salaries, not so great for exceptional talents. You ll be measured less, unless u explicitly ask for more. 3) Free food is good perk, if you are okay with sambhar rice.

Pros

Indians are famous for adopting things from the west , and this is one such adoption done right - the work culture. The moment you step into Freshdesk you feel like you are working in an American or European company. Such is the quality of workplace , perks provided by Freshdesk and the people you work with. No hierarchy , No one to boss you around , no timings , no dress code - just do the work and enjoy your life. Free food and free wifi - *sigh*. Great work life balance , great learning opportunity and freedom of expression. I have been working here for more than one month as UI developer.

Nothing notable as of now. Will update if I find something.
