Pros

We get to play with top notch hardware, and typically have the budget for the exact solutions we need to do our job. Fantastic co-workers are hard workers. Managers are demanding, but are polite and understanding.

Cons

Frequent requirements to work beyond the standard 40 hour work week cut into non-work time. It is hard to balance a family and work. High stress workloads require immediate response to emergencies.
