Not a top consideration.

Pros

Decent benefits and most work teams function well together.

Cons

Very little work/life balance. The constant change in priorities is frustrating and leads to a lack of accomplishment.

Pros

Pretty good work life balance, local engagement policies keep most decisions at a local level.

Cons

Seem to have bit off more than they can chew with the Verizon acquisition. Too much change in company direction, from 100% rural residential broadband company that doesn't support the FiOS product, then supports the FiOS product, then moves to a commercial approach that leaves out a residential plan completely. Not much opportunity for growth.

Basically, a good company

Pros

Not too much top-down management to contend with. The levels of management are few between the CEO and the front line

Cons

pay is lower than for other telecommunication companies. Little advancement opportunities. Also, the landline business is disappearing. Company's future existence is shaky.
