Pros

Good benefits and pay ONLY because they agreed to our current contract "VZ" to push the VZ sale through. Now that this is the first contract under FTR they want to cut SOOO many things we have earned over decades of hard work. PAY ATTENTION AT&T CONNECTICUT.

Cons

Front line mgr's are great. Everyone after them, terrible. Clueless, blind to reality, denial. I don't think a SINGLE one of them could even pick a pair out of a 25pr cable let alone understand what it takes to deliver good service on it. SELL SELL SELL SELL!! Never mind the CURRENT customer's. SELL SELL SELL SELL OR ELSE! Never mind letting the guys who KNOW how to fix and maintain do their jobs. Nope. SELL SELL SELL OR ELSE!

Pros

Management is completely incompetent. Benefits and wages are still good due to the union contract.

Cons

Management is completely incompetent. They are absolutely incapable of making rational and intelligent strategic decisions nor do they possess the ability to manage their workforce. If they have it their way we'll be making $15/hr. while the CEO builds more 6.4 Million dollar vacation homes. ONLY THE BRAVEST among us answer those surveys honestly for fear of retribution. I wonder how many of those wonderful military jobs the leadership keeps bragging about are low wage call center jobs- there hasn't been a craft worker hired in my area for over four years. I want to be part of the solution, letting everyone know you manipulate survey information and lie to the public instead of trying to make life any better for your workers and especially your customers.

Schizophrenic company

Pros

Frontier began their acquisition of the Verizon properties with a bang. Things were looking up and issues with outside plant appeared to be getting the attention that they had long deserved. This lasted for 2-3 years and now we are back in the Verizon days of despair.

Cons

Management, from the top down, is all over the map. Preaching "customer first" and then letting them stay out of service for extended periods of time because they don't want to spend the OT dollars to fix issues in a timely manner. Management is talking the talk, but behind the scenes is walking a different walk. Very disappointing and discouraging when employees are trying to do right by the customers only to be blocked by the ever changing company edicts.
