      Pros

      Good engineering work environment for experienced engineer.

      Cons

      high regulated and tight project schedule and very slow, But it is nuclear industry.

      Pros

      GE Fanuc may be one of the smaller players within the controls industry but it has allowed me to grow our business in the territory that I am in. Compared to the feedeback I have had of our competitors, we are more flexible in the way we conduct our business and compared to the feedback that I have had of our other GE counterpart businesses, we are certainly more customer responsive.

      Cons

      Compared to the other bigger control companies, our hardware products may not have as comprehensive a line as theirs, but we have our niche. Also, I think we could do with more resources as some of us are overstretched.

      Good work life balance. Leading edge technologies and fast paced environment

      Cons

      Limited opportunity for career growth. Also limited opportunities for mentorship. There are too many isolated sites as a result of aquisitions and there is very little communication between the sites. Furthermore, management is very entrenched and presents few opportunities for career development. I think there needs to be an infusion of new ideas and a more clearly defined direction to target bigger more lucrative markets. Currently there seems to be very little forsight and product planning needed to steer the company towards the right markets. Also GE automation contributes about 1% to GE's bottom line and is very vulnerable to shuffling or company re-org.
