Pros

They pay you well to start out and it continues to grow

Cons

They only give upper management info and wait until the last minute to give it to associates, and pretty vital info too

Pros

If you want your P&C license they will give you the information relevant to your resident state to pass the exam and cover the cost of the license.

Cons

Geico has abandoned the 7 operating principles under which they operated for many years. Upper management is morally bankrupt. They lack integrity and have no respect or appreciation for employees.

Pros

I had two great supervisors: Ryan and Massi. They were super positive always, they love coaching their teams and helping everyone promote and get to their next steps. Their advice was great and I learned a lot on better handling customer complaints, communication, and it really improved my customer service skills. Benefits were nice, Kaiser for medical. Stable job and good work life balance.

Cons

Some bad managers, they really ruin the experience! I won’t say her name, but my manager R was not the best. She did help my customer service skills, but that’s about it. She had a co-manager that was really new and she was so disrespectful. Also when I told R that I would be putting in my two weeks notice, she said “Oh, nope. Your last day is today. As soon as GEICO knows you’re going to quit, we just have your last day now and don’t do notices.” Wow! I don’t know if that’s legal unless the contract was at-will employment, but that was unexpected. I even quit my shift earlier that day because of her disrespect. Also when I applied to switch over to the claims department, the interviewer was terrible, and despite being well qualified, they didn’t choose me because I wasn’t selling enough MOAT offers. Yep, even though I’m not in the sales department, they expect a certain quota from you in the service dept to still sell MOAT offers. You are expected to take calls always, you are closely monitored. Most days you’ll go hours having calls back to back.
