Pros

Flexible work schedule. Nice people, fairly decent benefits but that's about it.

Cons

Low pay for amount of work you do. Overworked, the company is too cheap to hire more staff, so you end up with double the work and stressed. Poorly managed divisions and managers that lack skill and training to manage effectively. The company is run by a private investment company that is cheap. No bonuses, no incentives, no recognition. The company is not competitive at all. Barely any holidays. No growth and career advancement. High turn-over, it was a revolving door at times. The company has a huge retention problem. There were constant reorganizations and mergers every year. Many of the offices had a bad reputation for being an old boys club and this was well known throughout the company. Not the best treatment of employees. Boring work. Six months in the job, I knew I would not be staying so what does that tell you? Nah, stay away, there are far better companies that will offer you more. Glad to have moved on and lucky to have been offered an incredible new job with an amazing company. Do not miss working at GFT.

Pros

Transystems was once an organized firm with realistic goals and trustworthy leadership. At the local level, people are doing everything they can to uphold those values. There are good people and good managers at this company.

Cons

Venture capital has completely changed the company. The goalposts are constantly shifting. Leadership continues to falsely emphasize that they are being transparent, but the days of true transparency are no more. It’s disorganized and frustrating. There have been unprecedented layoffs due to the recent merger, including valuable and tenured employees. There were good leaders at the Transystems, but they are not the ones making decisions at this point. Venture capital may be good for top level leaders, but the rest of us are failing to understand how this is a positive.
