Pros

1. Good compensation package. 2. Good office location 3. Good benefits

Cons

1. Flight risks rewarded with promotions. 2. Open concept office adopted indiscriminately. Certain functions are not suited to work in such environments. 3. Departments made to charge each other and earn income from each other, but yet told to collaborate. 4. Innovation for the sake of innovation due to pressure to innovate.

Pros

Salary, benefits, location, nice office

Cons

Politics. The place is ran by managers who have no sense of real demand. Projects are initiated by those who want to impress but has no real business value or benefits. A lot of cronyism. SVP without real capabilities are hired and promoted, who then went on to remove the existing staff through underhand methods just so they can bring in their own cronies.

Pros

- Great Pay - Great Location - Great Benefits

Cons

- Beginning to sound cliché by now, but the environment & culture is highly toxic, political, and unworthy of mention. Truly a shame that the environment in a company of GIC’s stature has degenerated to its current woeful state. The person sitting in HR who has been tasked to progress people/culture has clearly been regressing and more alarmingly, seems clueless on how to move things forward. - Many of the Senior Managers/MDs in CS seem more attune to serving their own personal agendas and needs as opposed to doing what’s right for the organisation. The new norm seems to revolve around rolling out fluffy, seemingly ground-breaking initiatives in an effort to make themselves look good, but which when dug deeper , is of zero-value add & does not make the team or the Organization any more productive.
