The Best Place I Have Worked

Pros

I have worked a couple different jobs in the past and have worked on many client sites, but GMR is the one place that has kept me around the longest. The atmosphere is one I greatly enjoy. It does have that "work hard, play hard" mentality. I have definitely spent some long nights working, but have had some fun experiences with my co-workers as well. The one thing you will also find is people that are passionate about their clients and will work hard for them to get things done. Even though it may seem at times it is a company filled with youth, these people believe in what they do and are looking for ways to improve themselves. Plus you have to love some of the perks around the place like dress code, dog days, celebrities on site, barcade and more.

Cons

Corporate training is constantly in development and is not always consistent. They do bring in outside companies to help provide training and allow for consistency though. GMR is a company that has the same issues as any other companies when clients come and go, so there is a chance of being downsized if too much business goes away. But it is like that in any company. The good news is I have seen much more growth than reduction. Depending on what team you are on, the travel can be quite extensive. While some may see that as a con, others may see it as a pro.

Great culture, even better people!

Pros

The culture is hard to beat at GMR! Being able to bring your dog to work on Fridays, happy hours which allow you to socialize and get know those outside of your department, and dressing casual definitely makes GMR one of the best agencies to work for. It's very motivating to know that you are working beside the most passionate and creative people in the industry.

Cons

Things happen and change so fast, so communication can be delayed or not fully relayed. However, with the addition of the Beers with Boss series and the quarterly meetings, management understands the communication challenge and is working towards a positive solution.
