Pros

GP Strategies is a consulting company that allows for work from home. This flexibility in scheduling can be very appealing.

Cons

No work-life balance. Company runs lean and there is no work-life balance despite work from home options. Health benefits are terrible and employees rarely get to use PTO time due to unrealistic clients and project demands. Limited upward mobility. For a training company, they provide little to no training to new or current employees and no professional development. If work cannot be charged to a project or client it is not seen as valuable. This company is notorious for burning out employees.

Pros

- Work from home and they can be flexible with your schedule - Very talented and motivating colleagues

Cons

- Frequent and long term salary freezes; we will be told the company is doing everything they can and only doing this so they don't have to lay anyone off, but at the same time, you'll receive emails from the company announcing their record profits - You can be expected to double or triple your responsibilities, even take a new position, without any sort of increased compensation (even after you ask) - Some managers are completely disengaged with their reports

Pros

GP has a growing profile in the L&D space. Many people are committed to serving their customers. We offer a broad offering of professional services and create real value for our clients.

Cons

GP has many business units unrelated to learning so it seems there are several GPs. Growth by acquisition without good integration of new companies. Customers don't develop a full understanding of what we offer. No investment in professional development and pay transparency (critical wage stagnation is unaddressed.) Old boy senior leadership.
