      Bad Economy - Still a great place to work

      Pros

      Human first is real - even during the hard times Rewarding work Support from all departments and all levels of the organization

      Cons

      Recent plan to do an in-person kick-off right after layoffs was a bit insensitive and poorly timed due to the current market. Canceling the event several months after the announcement after plane tickets, hotel deposits, etc. had been made puts into question fiscal rigor. Good news is the "heart" was in the right place - getting us all together - timing was just wrong.

      Pros

      - Excellent product - Amazing team - Management who genuinely care and partner with individual contributors to achieve utilization targets while also working to help team mates avoid burn-out.

      Cons

      As with any pro services team, sometimes customer's high expectations and aggressive project schedules do cause burn-out. But this is not unique to Gainsight. It's more an occupational hazard in PS. Gainsight leadership does a lot to help balance the demands on the team and team members.
