Pros

When you work at Garner you have access to their amazing research and analysts so if you are willing to do some extra time reading, you can learn quite a lot!

Cons

One of the most toxic environment I've ever worked. They claim diversity but forget to be open for inclusiveness: once you are hired you cannot speak up your differences, you are expected to fit into a one ideology. Women still suffer from sexism and are seeing as docile so if a women speaks up, will be branded as "trouble makers". (and let's not even mention the salary diferences... When I ask for a raise so I would be paid the same as a male Jr. CSM - I was Sr. - I was told he negotiated his salary at the beginning better than me...and that was it) They do promote a lot from within however, in order to be fit for promotion you need to follow the leader without questioning. (questioning orders is a sin in an organisation such as Gartner) They claim they have work-life balance, yes you will not work overtime however, during the time you are at work you will be stretched to the point of burnout. A Customer Success Associate will have, in average, 180 customers and will have to do 6 or 7 calls per day. Time to prep calls and post calls are not included to you will have to stretch your mind to make this happen. Customers not always want to have a CSM, sometimes their boss buy the membership for the team without them knowing. Well, that's your problem... you will still need to have a call with this person and if you don't have it, it will hit your metric. You wont have a saying in your own portfolio, or your team or even your manager. They can change it at anytime (and they do change it frequently) and you cannot question as "your contract don't specify managers or region"
