Pros

Review is specific to Research roles...Good benefits (great PTO!); good locations; flexible work arrangement (though this varies depending on your manager/division); smart, collaborative colleagues; strong, high-quality research; daily access to successful, executive-level clients.

Cons

The cultural differences between heritage Gartner and heritage CEB are problematic. The approach to research is quite different across the two organizations, the research deliverables/products are different, the management approach is different, they way you develop and get promoted is different, and the overall employment value proposition is different. Reconciling these differences effectively doesn't seem likely. The demographic differences across the two organizations is particularly problematic. The older, whiter, more male composition of the Gartner workforce and the younger, more diverse composition of the CEB workforce has caused some challenges, and the overall commitment to diversity and inclusion is poor.

Pros

Global Company: - Multi-Cultural Environment. - Relocating to other US States or Countries can be an option depending which role you apply. - If you acquire your degree in a different country than the one you are currently, the company still recognizes your education. Salary is within market expectation and is adjusted yearly according to company growth and associate performance. Career Growth: As a company that is in constant growth there are always opportunities for top performers to explore different roles and grow with the company. Employees tend to have a longer career with Gartner than other companies. The grass may not be greener on the other side: I've witnessed a lot of people that left Gartner and came back or are still trying to come back. This is an environment of constant changes and learning therefore they invest in a lot of training tools and materials and asking questions to peer or any manager is always a good sign you are interested to learn and develop yourself.

Cons

Metrics Management: Although this is a great way to do merit based recognition and reduce biases Its important to take this aspect in consideration into your daily routine because it strongly will reflect your brand to upper management and your compensation even if you are not in a commission based salary. In a few areas of the company there is no flexibility to work from home or remotely (in a full time position) which diminishes the whole propaganda around work/life balance and the collaboration justification as some business units adopt it and others do not.
