Pros

The office environment and people who work here. Flexibility in organization and ability to take on new projects, learn new skills and flesh out your ideas. Again, the people here are great.

Cons

Cumbersome corporate structure, previous lack of stability, fewer and fewer days off. Not a strong central mission, brand or product offering. Sort of mishmashed philosophy that doesn't resonate.

Location and good people... the roots of the company stayed intact in many ways.

Cons

Commoditized industry with no real growth strategy. Couldn't keep up with Dell and other on price and lacked the talent and commitment to innovate.

The company has a rich history and is generious with mentoring of the staff.

Cons

Leadership is disengaged from the heart of Gateway's story and the gap between senior level management act as if they are living on a island. Upward mobility is no longer available as the company continues to reduce staff. The efforts made to reconnect with the customer and provide the best in the business service levels are now gone. Shut down by new management.
