Pros

Pay. Work from home. PTO ( when nobody else is off!!)

Cons

Benefits went down, CEO cares more about brining in more $ yet not compensating hard working employees. They play the “would you rather game” with your PTO and benefits. Bullies in the pods.

Doesn’t really care about employees

Pros

Benefits are fine. Employees want to do a good job and are committed to their patients

Cons

Geisinger really doesn’t seem to care about employees. There is an engagement survey every year and a very high percentage of employees are ranked as actively disengaged. They are then advise how they can make themselves better instead of Geisinger listening to the surveys and trying to improve themselves. Management and human resources do not listen to their employees and seem very concerned about getting new employees but not keeping current employees. The pay scale for longtime employees often means that we’re making barely more than new employees. They don’t seem to understand that many employees can go to a gas station and earn as much or more money than they do it Geisinger. The health system likes to tout all of their national recognition , and yet do little to actually take care of the people who make that recognition possible.

Pros

Ok benefits for a non-profit but limited selection of providers and offices; only theirs, which aren’t great.

Cons

The new research leadership is incompetent and leading the organization into total and complete failure. So many people including faculty are leaving, and no one is joining. The new leaders are looking out for themselves and their pockets. They are unethical. I would recommend everyone leaving.
