Pros

My supervisor was beyond toxic, the higher ups engaged in gas-lighting, and unethical research was conducted though no one could not report it as the ethical review board are married to other staff. The hospital rolled out research without adequate consent on an at-risk patient population to "make happen" what leadership announced. My clinic could barely keep a genetic counselor for longer than a year, multiple people returned signing bonuses to escape the job. I am horrified that this hospital is attempting to start a genetic counseling program.

Cons

Even loving the patient population, the focus of my job, and the research I was involved with - it was not enough to keep me at this job.
