      Pros

      Health insurance is decent . Snack at work. Coworkers are friendly - at least when the boss does not tell them to be otherwise

      Cons

      Typical Chinese company - long hours, heavy workload, endless night meetings, low pay, rampant discrimination against women particularly new moms. If you take more than minimal leave or vacation , you’re frowned upon. Company leadership will also find all sorts of excuses to kick people out to avoid paying the severance, no matter how long they have been working for the company.

      A start point for fresh graduates

      Cons

      1, toxic office politics 2, heavy work load 5, minimum to no room for promotion/raise 4, extremely low pay 5, extremely high turnover rate. People will leave right when they get their green card, even without an external job offer. That's how toxic it is. 6, abuse people that need work sponsorship. Read no. 5 again 7, I have witnessed illegal activities and have thought about reporting them. But I really didn't want to get my coworkers in trouble.

      I just want to point out. All the positive reviews look so fake. I don't think anyone who actually work here will leave such positive reviews. All the positive reviews were in the past 2 months, but during the last few years, this company always receive negative reviews, isn't it odd? If you check carefully, all the positive reviews have similar formant and even made same grammar mistakes.

      Well, like all other REAL reviews said. No work-life balance, Poor benefits etc. If you are in the sales team, the goal getting more and more higher, I think in this Q, only few sales can get commission. The base salary for sales person are typically very low. If you are in the TAM team, you have to work 9-10 hours per day in order to get everything done. If you are in shipping/lab. you can barely survive with the money they give you. ......

      first of all we don't care about score, what we care is everyone has fair chance of voice, you are free to voice your opinion and others who have been here for years and liked the company also have theirs. You only speak for yourself. also, regarding the sales goal, we are a growing company and our revenue grows more than 20% every year, and the sales goal grows like that too, did our sales team deliver the number? well Genscript is a public traded company and everyone can check our annual and bi-annual financial reports.
