Pros

decent discounts, good quality clothes, some nice people, customers are generally friendly and after a question or two are quite happy to tell you what they're looking for

Cons

the sales targets are intense, if you don't meet targets they stop giving you shifts, may find some team members are cocky and very competitive, extremely competitive environment, my personal management experience was poor, however have heard otherwise from others

Pros

Great incentives, staff discounts and parties. Ability to work with a large team.

Cons

Massive amount of pressure and high stress to managers, from managers, to make staff perform. Huge culture of negative gossip from staff which always caused tension for those that weren't in on the circles. Long hours and poor training. Poor quality of work procedures resulted in many customer complaints. Ability to reach KPIs are extremely unreasonable to many casuals that were stuck working quieter shifts, which meant that they had their shifts cut even further. Casuals are generally lazy and very immature, but think of themselves quite highly, for a general fashion retailer.
