Truly a Great Place to Work, but Be Ready for Change!
Pros
Genesys is now the undisputed leader in contact center space - the company has executed on a very clear strategy the past five-six years to be in such a good position with our customers and partners. Fellow employees are not only very smart, but also very passionate about customer experience and very customer-focused. Good opportunities for advancement within the organization, especially due to the Interactive Intelligence acquisition which scaled the company considerably. The company is very distributed with the largest office being in Indy and second largest in the Bay Area, but almost half the business and employees are located internationally - I personally love the geographic diversity of the company. Good work-life balance compared to other Bay-Area based companies. Leadership communicates very well and is very transparent, but change is not easy. Culture is important to the entire leadership and I hear just about every senior leader talk openly about what is good and what is bad with the culture and how we can collectively work together to make Genesys an even better place to work.
Cons
Genesys has had more change the last five years than the previous twenty years so you need to be ready to work in a fast-paced dynamic organization and be comfortable with ambiguity. The vast majority of change has been positive, but if you like the status quo, Genesys is probably not the place for you.
