Pros

Genesys is now the undisputed leader in contact center space - the company has executed on a very clear strategy the past five-six years to be in such a good position with our customers and partners. Fellow employees are not only very smart, but also very passionate about customer experience and very customer-focused. Good opportunities for advancement within the organization, especially due to the Interactive Intelligence acquisition which scaled the company considerably. The company is very distributed with the largest office being in Indy and second largest in the Bay Area, but almost half the business and employees are located internationally - I personally love the geographic diversity of the company. Good work-life balance compared to other Bay-Area based companies. Leadership communicates very well and is very transparent, but change is not easy. Culture is important to the entire leadership and I hear just about every senior leader talk openly about what is good and what is bad with the culture and how we can collectively work together to make Genesys an even better place to work.

Cons

Genesys has had more change the last five years than the previous twenty years so you need to be ready to work in a fast-paced dynamic organization and be comfortable with ambiguity. The vast majority of change has been positive, but if you like the status quo, Genesys is probably not the place for you.

Pros

Fast paced company with highly talented, smart, and extremely diligent people. Team members across the business are great professionals and and always willing to help with a project. The Executive Leadership team is very engaging and provides frequent updates on how we are executing on our business strategy, progress on key initiatives, and gathering employee feedback on ways to improve. It has been very exciting to see the combined talent between Genesys and Interactive Intelligence come together over the recent months. The two companies’ cultures are a great fit and center around innovation, strong work ethic, team collaboration, and high passion to assist our customers meet their business goals. - Industry Leader in CX - Strong Senior Management support - Great opportunities to be a part of a team to learn and grow - Flexibility to move into different areas of the organization and develop new skills

Cons

I wouldn't call it a con, but more of a challenge for some is the speed at which we work and the constant change the organization manages to keep up with the market. With the merger of Interactive Intelligence there are still systems being integrated causing less than optimal process however, this is only temporary and very normal for the first 6 – 12 months during integration.
