Pros

The job was extremely rewarding. Patient care was always number one. Some of the most compassionate and brightest people I have ever worked with at the office level.

Cons

Long, grueling hours. Challenging on call expectations. Much responsibility and hard work and always having to be asked for even more.

Pros

"Great Interdisciplinary Team support towards the care and concerns of the patients and their families."

Cons

Corporate Management had several complaints dealing with serious office issues.with No real satisfactory results or resolve. "Swept under Rug.." Benefit Packages were too high. Office Directors were biased towards Nursing Staff which often diminished office morale. Salaried positions, excluding Nursing,, were overly worked (ON CALL) with NO MONETARY COMPENSATION except mileage reimbursement. which was NEVER the government standard rate per mile. Little to NO room for career advancement,, again, except for Nursing Staff. Little to NO MINORITIES in management positions --SEEN OR UNSEEN--including CORPORATE OFFICES--OVER 5000 EMPLOYEES IN 14+ STATES. WOW !!

Pros

The patients and their families

Cons

They hire RN's as salaried and then after working 40 hours or more, usually at least 50 a week they expect 150 hours of call a month with no call pay for CTC or backup. I received $60 a month in call pay for the 150 hours of call a month. If you complain they tell you that you do not have a hospice heart and need to quit. They do not care about their employees only increasing their patient numbers.
