Pros

I think Getty's employees are very nice all the time and very talented to work with. AIso, D&I initiative has been serious so Getty tries to be inclusive with all employees.

Cons

Some people struggle to deal with the speed of working style. Adaptability with high speed working environment is tough but most of the people get used to do that.

Hi, there! Thank you for the work you've done for us throughout the last 8-10 years and thank you for writing a review! I'm so glad you have had a positive experience with other members of the team! We wouldn't be the company we are without employees like you! I'm also proud to hear you call out our Diversity and Inclusion initiative. We have a fantastic team who works tirelessly to ensure total involvement of all employees so that they are free to be who they are and share what makes them unique with other members of the team. To name a few, we have some new Employee Resource Groups coming down the pipeline, we have added 9 new members to our Global Advisory Committee, we celebrate Global Cultural Days of Recognition, and continue to highlight diverse groups in the content we produce! Thank you also for your feedback on working in a high-speed environment. We appreciate that the business is constantly changing, and it can be hard to keep up with those changes. Your Human Resource Business Partner is a great resource if you (or your colleagues) need support to work through this challenge. If you have any specific feedback for how we can best support employees in this way, please feel free to reach out to me at sarah.dudley@gettyimages.com!

Pros

When COVID hit and we all had to work remotely, nobody got fired when revenue declined. Instead we got a % reduction in our salary for only 6 months. Our CEO gave himself a 50% paycut to save our jobs!!! He is a class act!!! Business got back to normal and they refunded us all our salaries 🙌. God bless Getty Images!!

Cons

They are too patient to people that don’t perform to expectations.

Hello! Thank you so much for your positive review of Getty Images! We know working through the pandemic was a tough time for all employees and we worked hard to ensure everyone was taken care of and supported to the fullest extent. We know the transition to "the new normal" wasn't easy, and we thank you for speaking so positively about how pandemic work was handled. I also appreciate your feedback about performance expectations. As a company, we have regular performance reviews for all employees, as well as quarterly check-ins with managers to ensure both the employee's personal and professional goals are being met. For employees who may not be reaching their fullest potential, we offer additional trainings through Work Ramp, opportunities to work with Human Resources and managers to receive specialized support and resources, and Performance Improvement Plans for those who need additional support in their role. Please know your manager and Human Resource Business Partner are always available to chat if you have concerns to pass along. Also, I am open to additional feedback at any time! Please feel free to email me at sarah.dudley@gettyimages.com if you have anything further you'd like to discuss!

Pros

Professionalism, diversity, inclusion, accountability, transparency, good work-life balance, team effort means never feeling like you are on an island, seems to be recession proof, responsible hiring that doesn't lead to mass layoffs, easy access to co-workers, hybrid work has been a huge plus!

Cons

Difficult to move up the ladder as most departments seem to limited. Health insurance benefits while pretty great have declined their coverage over the year and as I write this there is a fear that a major vendor may not be included in our coverage soon.

Hello! Thank you so much for the work you've done for us throughout the past 20 years - what an amazing achievement! Thank you also for taking the time to write a review of the company. It sounds like overall you've had a great experience as a Getty Images employee, and I'm so glad to hear! In terms of career advancement, we have built career ladders for every role, team, and function in the company. This allows transparency on what the next step is and how to get there. Your manager can walk you through areas of opportunity to focus on during regular one-on-one meetings or during your quarterly check-ins. Regarding Benefits, we have a comprehensive plan that includes medical, vision, and dental coverage; flexible savings accounts; life and disability plans; retirement plans; and employee assistance programs, just to name a few. I am unsure what you are referencing when you say a major vendor may not be included in our coverage soon. As of today, I am unaware of any current benefit plan vendors exiting the space. I would love to look into this for you, so if you have additional information or questions, feel free to reach out to me at sarah.dudley@gettyimages.com. You may also reach out to our Benefits team at benefits@gettyimages.com.
