Pros

- Paid breaks (Only applies to 15 minute long breaks) - Free food sometimes (usually on or after holidays) - Not too serious of a work environment (depends on the manager working/customer service people)

Cons

- When upper management comes, everything gets really hectic (probably the usual for most big companies) - Some of the managers/customer service people can be difficult to work with - Rules and procedures, both minor and major, are ALWAYS changing; especially after corporate comes by - No benefits provided besides 401K contribution which Giant contributes nothing to (again, probably the norm) - Both HR and the union are very difficult to get ahold of when you need them. Neither are very helpful except for extreme circumstances - No communication between management and employees on important things unless you ask - Everybody besides the exempts gets paid the same salary (slightly above minimum wage). Supposedly that's to go up every six months you work here, but mine hasn't increased. - Hard to advance and get a full-time position without putting in a job bid which is an inane process in of itself - The importance of seniority fluctuates depending upon the circumstances. If the store needs you at a certain time, you're working, senior or not (unless you've worked there 10+ years).

Pros

There are none, giant stinks, low pay, poor conditions and majority of managers, directors are poorly skilled, will throw you under the bus if it saves themselves, a real scum company

Cons

Backstabbers, low pay, no rewards and a constantly punitive approach from the executive
