      At first it was great, but as I rose up "higher" in the company, I was given significantly more work and not paid more

      Pros

      1. Somewhat flexible hours (school schedule) 2. Variance in jobs 3. Great people to work with 4. Paid weekly 5. Potential to work a lot of hours

      Cons

      1. Pay is not very good. I was there for six years and only made a max of $9.00/hr 2. Store management expects you to dedicate your life to the company just because they do. 3. Hours are being cut to the point where there are not enough people to perform jobs that were basic when I first started. 4. Corporate decided to change all of the registers and systems and they did not give our store any where near the necessary amount of training. Giant is losing a significant amount of customers because of this oversight.

      A pharmacist widest nightmare. Giant food needs to prepare for major lawsuits.

      Pros

      The upfront pay for pharmacist looks great. Certain stores are staffed appropriately. Small discount on groceries. Remedy for traveling when floating.

      Cons

      You will be over worked and under staffed. Corporate is out of touch with the culture of their pharmacies and strives to make metrics. Staff pharmacist work 50-60 hrs a week. Hourly pharmacists clock out and work off the clock. This in turns pushes corporate to turn over impossible metrics forcing illegal labor. Normal hourly pay is usually worth 70% due to this illegal practice

      -nice people -nice pay -free food on associate appreciation days

      Cons

      -management needs to change their direction or they'll lose out to other companies -lack of training -really really really high expectations -too much paperwork -that whole 5% discount
