Pros

Ginkgo is a highly dynamic environment, with numerous significant initiatives in play. While this can feel overwhelming, it is also energizing. The culture is respectful and supportive, particularly important when joining a company under current pandemic circumstances and inability to develop face-to-face connections the normal way. The company mission is clear and impactful. Leading edge science and business model. This is a company that will change the world for the better.

Cons

The ambitions and initiative load are significant, can feel overwhelming at times. As the company scales up, brings in more resources, etc. this will improve.

Pros

Team members at Ginkgo are intelligent, passionate, and great to work with. There's a huge sense of growth + motivation throughout the entire company. Plus, culture is incredibly important: everyone makes a really big effort to ensure Ginkgo is an innovative, collaborative, and fun place to work.

Cons

Because Ginkgo is constantly growing, there can sometimes be a bit of chaos involved. But, that chaos is what keeps team members flexible and able to shift priorities so well, so we've all come to appreciate it.

Pros

Things are constantly changing, there are a lot of smart people, the projects are cool, the customers i have been working with were great, you learn a lot, and it's super motivating to work with people that are super passionate about their jobs.

Cons

There is a lot of pressure to deliver. Timelines to deliver products to customers are often agressive. People that are not good with change and working in a dynamic environment probably wont feel comfortable at Ginkgo.
