Pros

- Depends on the team and part of the product.

Cons

- You only get promoted if you appear to or actually work long hours. - Vocal people who may not even be good at their job get promoted because they are louder. - The OKRs of the design team got in the way of doing actual work as they took valuable time and most times were not useful/used properly (were mostly metrics to push product to prioritise UX). - Reactive instead of proactive research. - Difficult to influence other parts of the product as everyone is busy and has a long backlog. - Async communication sounds nice but most times is difficult and slow (which means late hours if the team is in reverse time zones). - Diversity and inclusion just a pretence not applied to key roles. - If someone is burned out they will kick them out without second thoughts.
