The transparency at GitLab is shocking. I have never experienced something like this with former employers. I knew more about the workings of the company before I started than with any other company. Also the embodiment of of GitLab's values is prevalent and apparent among most everyone.

Well organized, lots of communication and transparency. Growing company with a solid vision and the leadership to execute.

All remote, company wide transparency, great benefits for US, diverse workforce, can tell your coworkers and leadership actually care.

Everyone is extremely helpful and honest, transparency is like I've never seen before, everything about the company is documented and in the open handbook, great work/life balance where people respect each other's time and overall a really great environment. The interview process might take a bit longer but in my experience, I had updates and knew the details at all steps, plus everything about the interview process is also documented so I could read by myself. All the general struggles in remote are thought of and mitigated or alleviated: coffee calls and daily "breakout groups" calls for the social interactions that you may miss in a remote environment, asynchronous communication and the "document everything" mindset for working across multiple timezones and many others.

Although we are an all remote company globally, the passion and the warmth of all the employees can be felt so easily. Everyone is so eager to help and make each other successful! A great and modernised company who truly lives the values of Collaboration, Results, Efficiency, Diversity & Inclusion, Iteration and Transparency.

The company has built a culture and infrastructure that makes remote work very effective and enjoyable. The company is very organized from the recruitment process to on-boarding to managing work flow. GitLab's single application for the entire DevOps lifecycle is a disruptive product that really sells itself. The company is scaling and it is a tremendous opportunity to be a part of something special.

At GitLab, transparency is key, and what you see is what you get. First off, the company itself is great – the product is strong and loved by many customers, and company performance is well above par. But more important than performance is the team and the people who lead it. Everyone at GitLab is welcoming and friendly, which is particularly difficult for a fully-remote organization. I feel like everyone – from my team, to my manager, to leadership – truly care and are invested in my success. The flexibility and work-life balance is unbeatable. I've been at other remote companies that tout flexibility, but expect you to be at your desk from 9-5 and get on your case when your Slack status is not available in the middle of the workday. GitLab delivers on the flexibility they promise – they trust you to get your work done on your time. They also understand that work is not always the most important thing, and thereby constantly encourage you to take time for obligations and interests outside of work. And lastly, GitLab truly embraces the idea that "everyone can contribute." Because of this, your opportunities for professional growth are limitless in this organization. No problem is too big or small for either an individual contributor or executive to solve. Every employee is encouraged to reach their full potential and explore problems/areas that are of interest to them.
