Pros

Central London office and some nice facilities

Cons

1. Unsociable employees 2. Lack of collaboration across teams 3. Inconsistent and unfair expectations of attendance of working in the office for various members of staff (less senior, the more unfair) 4. Poor leadership from the top down 5. Disgruntled middle management 6. Unfair content expectations 7. The worst egos seem to succeed here 8. No training (whatsoever) 9. No community/teamwork feel 10. You will be pigeonholed 11. Toxic environment 12. Lack of empathy for any personal issues going on at that time in your life 13. Has very little care for your personal well being, you are just a tiny little screw in a well oiled evil machine 14. You will be shown no appreciation for any hard work or any above and beyond behaviour at this company - the expectations are insanely unrealistic and you are a piece of dirt to them, especially if you work in editorial 15. The editorial team has no say in the greater good of the company 16. You are not listened to

Sadly to say, none, no pros.

* The environment is disorganised, with a lack of clarity on ongoing matters, making it difficult to obtain accurate information. While a handful of colleagues are supportive, many others seem either uninformed or somewhat detached. * Salary adjustments non existent. * There are no additional benefits such as private healthcare, income protection, or life insurance. * No Bonuses. Grind culture, targets often prove unattainable, equaling no commission. Only a select few benefit from more favourable territories or product alignments. * Opportunities for promotion are absent, along with any defined career progression path, seemingly due to a reluctance to increase compensation. * A sense of community or belonging is notably lacking. * Morale tends to be low among the teams, with many expressing a desire to depart. New hires often share regrets shortly after starting, typically within one to two months. * The average employee tenure is around one year and two months, a figure that recruiters familiar with placements from GlobalData can verify through their data. * The CRM system, despite being based on top-tier software, has been rendered ineffective by decisions from the administrators and technical team. * The company operates on a very frugal basis, which is apparent from details like jars of loose white sugar and instant coffee, kettles in need of cleaning due to limescale buildup, the absence of a year end celebration, and instead a modest January event called the 'Annual Awards' with limited standing catering at a recurring venue like the Natural History Museum. The late timing after a full workday can make attendance impractical for those commuting from outside London.

Pros

The individual team I operate in is lovely and the job is interesting

Cons

The company has terrible resource allocation The reasearch and analyst teams are cruelly under-funded leading to analysts always having to do more with less. Pay is way below market and no bonus scheme for analyst. The benefits are also a bit ridiculous for a company of this size. They do barely more than the legal minimum...
