      Decent first job but don't stay long

      Pros

      - Decent first role to learn about life science industry - Line managers and other staff very reasonable people - Good end of year Christmas party - Get to work on topical subjects

      Cons

      - Limited chance of career progression unless you stay for about a decade - Because the majority of staff at the company have been there for the majority of their career, there was a ceiling on the level of expertise on the role, and therefore a ceiling on what could be learned. - It does not pay well and your work is subject to the whims of the larger organisation.

      The most incompetent and disastrous organization ever!

      1. Salary is credited on time 2. A meagre medical insurance 3. Occasional HR activities 4. Pharma is relatively better than other verticals, both in terms of Business Revenue and quality of work

      Cons

      1. An intensely non-meritocratic culture 2. Clueless Management 3. Zero training 4. Copy-Paste Job in Excel from Google and competitors 5. Zilch in the name of salary, among the lowest in the industry and the raise is pathetic 6. People love pulling each other down and APMs and SA (mostly) have mastered the art of manipulation. They literally treat others as lesser mortals if they know a couple of Excel formulas more. The level of frustation in the organization is evident from the high rate of attrition in the company which hires in large numbers throughout the year because people leave it at an unbelievable rate 7. Questionable data practices 8. An office that resembles a fish market 9. Unbelievably tough working hours sometimes running into the next day without pay 10. The desktops are literally ancient and so is the Excel versions in use 11. One learns nothing than putting hours after hours pasting data in Excel from other Web Pages and PDFs

      Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I'm sorry to hear you have such a negative view of GlobalData. We would always encourage employees to raise any issues you are experiencing with your role with your line manager, or speak to a member of the HR team.With regards to the working hours, employees in India are given full flexibility to leave early or come in late on another day should they be required to work over time. Regarding the equipment, Hyderabad employees have just been relocated to a new office with brand new equipment.

      Dead end with little opportunities to grow

      Product is very good. Central london location. Good company to grow in and then move on.

      Cons

      Very unprofessional environment at times. A few very immature and childish managers. No pay rises. Zero career progression opportunities. Minimal pay for what you do.

      I'm sorry to hear you did not enjoy your time at GlobalData. I'm surprised to hear you felt there were limited opportunities for progression - we have a very strong commission structure and training programme for Account Managers which is designed to ensure that they progress within the business. The vast majority of senior sales managers that we employ started out in junior roles and have worked their way up this same training programme.We would always encourage upward feedback to your line manager, and recommend reaching out the HR team should you encounter any issues which you do not feel comfortable addressing with the management team.
