Pros

The above phases are what you hear if you join this firm. Good opportunity to buy into ownership because the original principles are trying to get their money out of this company. They are looking for anyone to invest and offering Associates Principals positions to many. But as an Associate Principal, you have no say in how the company is managed.

Cons

HR does not exist in this company. Many offices have long term employees that have never had a yearly review or goals set. Glumacs business plan is to have employee work overtime and not pay for this effort. Sad to say, but a lot of the young engineers get sucked into this business strategy. If you are in middle management, they want you 90% billable, not to bad, but they expect you to sell new business, manage projects and employees in addition to doing the work. So if you like doing three jobs and getting paid for one, this is the company you need to work for. Once the excitement of your starting employment with the company wears off, the above phases stop. You are no longer a Rock Star, but a number that they hope can make them money.

More about image than substance

Pros

Decent benefits. Free snacks during working hours. Some very intelligent, quality individuals work there - none of which are in higher management.

Cons

The CFO runs all departments; management (including the CEO) is afraid of this person. Shady project finances. Company top tier is more focused on image and bonuses than substance or the care and concern of the employees. Projects are consistently over budget; proactive project management is non-existent. Unwilling to embrace new industries, focuses. Lack of company vision and desire to line the pockets of upper management is prevalent in every decision that is made. The company needs a shake-up and a shake-down.
