Pros

Like-minded, caring coworkers. Truly makes a difference in the community. Can change people's lives for the better. Good benefits. New senior management is making changes to help even more people. Excellent opportunities for job changes and advances within SOME of the programs.

Cons

HR department is like an exclusive club that is hard to access. HR allows it's employees to get away with A LOT. While new senior management is making many positive changes, some of the holdovers are stuck in the past and heavily rely on favoritism.

Pros

Work schedule, rewarding work, every day is different, making a difference in peoples lives.

Cons

Very results demanding in highly competitive economy. Need to place at least 5 individuals a week when the job market is not moving. Senior management does not nurture career growth. Directors and vice presidents are not understanding of market conditions. No real advancement opportunity.

Pros

Well regarded nonprofit has a strong presence in the community; offers a lot of support and training to people looking for work and job opportunities for people who might otherwise have trouble getting hired. They give people a chance.

Cons

Salary and benefits are a bit below average; some arbitrary decisions have been made by the leadership while employees are sometimes not given adequate information. The required "safety meetings" were a joke, and some of the trainings were not very useful.
