Pros

The common mission and energy of the workers is to do whatever it takes to empower their clients and to build their capacity to improve their lives personally and professionally. The company itself is a well-respected brand and entity no matter where it establishes itself so the community easily embraces Goodwill Industries.

Cons

The down side is that the management at my particular location was aloof, neglectful and/or dismissive and disrespectful of its employees. The most common issue was the general practice of management treating to and speaking to their employees like children and not being fair and balanced in their assessment, reward and/or discipline of the personnel. Furthermore, they provided ultimately no training and overall, had an unprofessional manner of operating the business.

Pros

It is very rewarding working with the population that I worked with.

Cons

Poor communication. Although all positions in my department required a 4 year degree or better, employees were not treated with professional courtesy. Literally everyone in my department has either already left or is looking for a job- except one.
