Pros

Goodyear is a proud provider of high quality products using state-of-the-art technology and processes. Their product design capability is second to none.

Cons

The (automotive supply) industry is under extreme pressure to perform more cost-effectively. This often manifests itself internally to resource shortages to get work done. Career planning and opportunities for advancement are not available consistently throughout Divisions. Consistent HR leadership is lacking.

Pros

A Global Firm offers many opportunities within any industry and Goodyear is very well known and well received in the Global Market. Plus it has a Blimp.

Cons

There is limited work/life balance. It has been my experience that normal hours of operation are not well-defined and a twelve hour work day seems to be expected. The Financial benefits are good on an annual basis. However, when divided by hours worked, the actual rate per hour becomes very diluted.

Pros

Good brand name and among best in tire industry

Cons

No vision at top, no risk taking, cutting cost is almost the only strategy, extremely political work environment
