      Pros

      Grainger is the leader in MRO distribution. There is an exceptional history with high quality employees and suppliers. There is no better distributor in the industrial market for on-time and accurate delivery.

      Cons

      Grainger is changing from a local branch sales model to primarily an eCommerce on-line model. There are growing pains and challenges to grow sales in a highly competitive on-line marketplace. Amazon poses the largest threat to commerical and industrial consumable sales. There is no better company than Grainger to figure it out, but expect a very dynamic environment during this evolution.

      Pros

      Good base pay Appropriate amount of accounts for work life balance

      Cons

      Consistent sales metric changes quarterly. High turnover at all levels of company. Poor forecasting and planning by upper mgmt/exec mgmt for company growth, very top heavy but looks like they have been trying to fix that. An odd culture of people putting down others for minimum gains, that I have not encountered at other large corporations in my career.

      Constantly changing direction causing confusion at the employee, customer, and supplier level. Passive aggressive culture Keep your head down to survive mentality
