Pros

Amazing people within this company while I believe a bit of kool aid has been served in gallon containers. Training is good but not practical for real sellers with real experience. So profitable they are buying back their own stock. After 6 years you will be fully vested.

Cons

Micro managers who have been with the company for far too long to be effective. Who wants to work for someone who can't remember how to do your job? Too much like working for the government, tracking your every move and every phone call etc. Pay scale is unfair if you live in a smaller area. Do Not Believe them when they say they can't pay you more! They can and they do if you negotiate a better salary! They are not a transparent company at all, you will never know the real price of anything. Also their TSR program is a farce! You are disposable! , in fact if you can stay over 2 years now as an AM you are doing good. Also, You will never be promoted unless you have a manager who is willing to replace you and it ALL depends on your DSM!

Pros

Profit Sharing and great team members

Cons

Militant Micro-Management styles. Grainger also changed your goals every 6 months. If happen to meet or exceed your goals during one six month cycle, expect big increases during the next 6 month sales cycle. Management is always trying to advance upwards by cutting each other throats. Mgmt will put a knife in other managers backs or their own employees. Ironically, sales management jobs are "dead end" jobs. With this in mind, there is no reason to advance in this company thus making it twice as bad.
