      Pros

      Beside the basic 9-5 and no weekends, the profit sharing and benefits are the only thing that's great about this company now.

      Cons

      Cutting staff left and right. Branches are closing and everyone is not being retained. Hiring cheap operational managers who doesn't know what they are doing. Promotes those who doesn't know anything besides the bs numbers that they put up. Micro manage to the max without knowing what is the correct procedures since it's always changing.

      Good work life balance Generous PTO Financially Stable Company

      Cons

      We compete against several of our own subsidiaries: Zoro, E&R, Imperial this creates a challenging cross selling environment that management ensures is not the case.... Strong performers will carry the majority of the goal if you finish above your goal one year expect it to increase by 20%+ the next year each and every year Extremely difficult to climb the ladder without cross country relocation

      Pros

      Not much any longer that is good about grainger. Benefits used to be robust but since they announced profit sharing cuts its nothing special.

      Cons

      Very political and judgmental. Management is always right and they don't care what employees have to say. Constant change in leadership is a joke. More upper management without investing in staff. Continue to off source jobs is a troubling trend.
