Pros

This company just finished a $60M expansion on time and under budget. While keeping up with the current manufacturing load. During a pandemic. Always adding new clients and projects and it takes highly capable, motivated staff to keep up. GRAM has a plethora of talent and no shortage of opportunities to expand knowledge.

Cons

The pros listed above are not for everyone. This is not a slow paced ho him work environment. If you like excitement and a challenge, you’ll Love it here. The culture is better than other pharma companies I’ve worked for. Flexibility (remote or flexible schedule) wasn’t a thing before the pandemic and was a con but obviously that has changed. Hopefully this is something GRAM will keep and improve post-pandemic.

Great coworkers. Old school management style.

Pros

My coworkers make work fun and enjoyable. The work is challenging and the company is growing.

Cons

The company is not flexible at all when it comes to working hours. Employees are required to work 8-5 and now allowed to work from home. This makes it difficult to have a good work life balance. The company also doesn't offer "summer hours" and the vacation time is lacking in comparison to other local pharmaceutical manufacturing companies. Employees are required to share cubical, sometimes up to 5 people in a cube. So during cold/flu season everyone gets sick.

Pros

Pay, middle management is nice.

Cons

They work the laboratory staff to death. Force them to be on call for all hours of the night and weekends. Very little extra benefits other than pay. The vacation and sick time is below average. Many staff members would come to work sick because they didn't have extra time off, thus getting other works sick. Many people call in a lot because they are burned out. Training isn't done well. People are minimally trained on instruments that they might not use for 3-6 months and then expected to operate them and record data perfectly with no mistakes. There aren't many opportunities to advance career or get additional trainings.
