CL is the most toxic work environment

Pros

Non management co-workers are great hard working people.

Cons

They are already starting to get rid of people with pensions and more will follow as the plan is only funded until the end of this year and already started with accounting. In CL they need to change the entire management team. John A would be shocked if he knew how inappropriate most of the managers speak to the employees. Micromanagement in every dept because that is all they know how to do is look at numbers and tell us to work longer hours. Good employees are being terminated unless they suck up to the managers. Tech positions are being outsourced and underwriters will be let go once the conversion is over. We cannot be honest as it puts a target on your back. They rolled out a system that is crappy and has a ton of issues just ask the agents and stop listening to managers saying it is great. The Management team are the last people in the door and the first out the door daily. Employees are forced in the office two days a week but apparently that doesn’t apply to managers.

Pros

Culture was a positive outlier especially during the pandemic.

Cons

Recent edict that we must return to office without any additional compensation is terrible. Not to mention the communication from the higher ups is essentially "you'll grow from this" which is condescending and unacceptable.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand that coming into the office two days a week will be a transition for some of our associates, which is why we felt it was important to share this change a few months in advance to help associates prepare. We want to continue to help associates navigate this transition, so if you have additional feedback, questions, or concerns you would like to share, please do not hesitate to speak with your manager or HR Business Partner.
