Pros

Covered garage. Workout facility. Cafeteria. Coffee Shop. Really great associates. Good retirement benefits. Flexible hours. Paid parking. Decent PTO. Nice restrooms.

Cons

Low salaries. Healthcare benefits are expensive. Retirement and PTO benefits are decreasing. Numerous layoffs and offshore replacement of FTE leave remaining associates stretched.

Pros

There are some good people working there who genuinely care about one another On-site fitness gym On-site cafeteria Benefits are O.K. Flexible work schedule

Cons

Recently it appears the IT departments culture is shifting towards a strict, micro-managed type environment. Some of the reviews you are seeing on this site have been a result of H.R. "doctoring" up the feedback, it's easy to tell which ones. Turn-over has been very high in the technology area this year. Management doesn't seem to care or may even be encouraging it.

Pros

Grange Insurance has a longstanding relationship with agents. It has been around over 70 years, and is in a position to remain profitable. It's located in a nice area around German Village. There are many perks such as a fitness center, wellness program, dietician, cafeteria, coffee shop, and many more.

Cons

Grange used to be a great place to work. Now the company is just financially driven and doesn't care about the employees. It used to be that longevity and tenure was respected, now you're easily replaced. Management is making decisions with considering the effect on employees or explaining why decisions are being made.

We strive to remain one of the Best Places to Work and appreciate your feedback on how we’re doing. We are happy to hear that you enjoy our location, continued financial stability as well as many of the perks as a Grange Insurance associate. Our goal is for all employees to work for a company that continues to do the right things and not only meet the needs of our agents, policyholders and associates today but we are positioned for our organization to meet future needs and growth. With a clear vision of 50/50 by 2025, it has been necessary to make some adjustments to ensure continued growth and success and we understand that some changes may cause a level of discomfort but will allow us to meet our targeted growth while still being a company that embraces our mission and values. It is our full intent to ensure that associates have an understanding of the need for changes and actions and we do our best to communicate openly, we are very interested in receiving more feedback on what we can improve upon. We recommend that you discuss (to ensure appropriate responses) to your manager or speak with HR at hr@grangeinsurance.com. Thanks again for your feedback!
