Let me set the scene for your the senior management all talks bad about each other behind each other’s backs.
Our groups leadership micromanages to the extreme, once you think your about to achieve something they tell you to back peddle and start again because it is not how a certain person wants it. We get nothing done unless it’s this person's way. Everyone else on the team just nods their heads in agreement, so they stay on the leadership's good side. In the mean time everyone is as frustrated as the next person, but no one says anything or stands up to the situation.
If you are a ‘good old boy’ then you will fit right in in the company culture. If you aren't, then you will quickly see the unequal treatment. They pretend to play the game of 'diversity and inclusion' but its just that, just for show, nothing in practice.
If you aren't a brown-noser, then you won’t be in the ‘cool kids’ group (you won't be supported by the managers/senior managers, etc.). Everyone has their favorites .
They say that they support you and your growth, but unless you are a kiss up, this job is a waste of time, it is not personally fulfilling, it just pays the bills.
They preach culture and belonging… but everyday everyone is fake and rude, unless the CEO is in the room or a senior leader. You never know who you will get, they change like the wind. It is best to have every communication in writing, because senior management/management decisions change based on who is in the room.
