Encouraged work/life balance from leadership, and very family-friendly company for those with children or taking care of elderly parents. Remote-first with flexibility and accommodating for those in different time zones. Dedicated colleagues that are committed to quality work and treating one another with respect. Managers advocate for their teams.
Cons
The company is currently going through a restructuring, and eliminating positions, requiring employees to reapply to roles that have significantly lowered salary ranges. The amount of new roles are not equal to the amount of current employees, so many people will be out of the job. Many are looking for work elsewhere to avoid reduction in salary and also to have more security in knowing they will have a job in a few months. They are aiming for more equitable pay across job positions and more clear pathways to leadership opportunities, but there are so many people already in leadership roles and have been there for a very long time. There is a lot of favoritism within the company, you really have to be friends with the people making the decisions, even though they promise they don't show bias. The current restructuring is being done unprofessionally, with a current leader giggling and joking through large departmental team meetings where they are sharing the unfortunate news of layoffs. This particular person has been incredibly insensitive and even joked that they were "ready for all our angry questions" with a laugh this past week on a zoom call.
