Pros

Great benefits! Absolutely love my access to full benefits; medical, dental, vision, and even mental health care is covered. The upfront vacation time hours given is enticing too. My immediate team (the team I directly work with on-site is wonderful too)

Cons

I'm sure this is true everywhere but your experience with Greystar can differ severly depending upon: 1 - who your PRM (property regional manager) is, 2 - what property you are assigned to, and 3 - who owns that building. I absolutely love my immediate team but DESPISE my RPM and the ownership group that hired Greystar to manage their property. They are absolutely greedy, selfish, and not supportive which is why I will be leaving them immediately to work with a company that makes you feel supported when you have a question, concern, or issue. My training wasn't even allocated to me or my team properly and yet we were held responsible for things we didn't know and not supported on even after asking for help and being unanswered to our pleas for support. Absolutely shameful.

Pros

A lot of room to locate different properties/locations

Cons

I had a manager who was rude, did not care about his employees, and threw a tantrum when he couldn't have his way or something wrong happened. Even made his employees cry. That experience made me never want to work for Greystar again.

Pros

You can start at a low level position and effectively rise through the ranks to a more senior role. Livable wages for onsite staff. Diversity and Inclusion at the forefront of culture in the Charlotte office. Role encompasses many tasks from sales, admin, accounting, and development projects that empower the employees and contribute to job satisfaction.

Cons

Senior leadership creating environment of uncertainty and lack of confidence, hopefully just some growing pains however it is being felt at all levels. Internal opportunities are hidden from current employees and positions are filled by upper management (RPM/Directors) without properly posting and considering all applicants for the role. You will not have a work/life balance, and the higher you climb the less of a personal life you will have. You must have a strong support system of family and friends to handle the high stress role
