      Pros

      Decent work life balance compared to other firms, but can be intense depending on what project you land.

      Cons

      You dont choose your project, and Guidehouse evaluates you heavily based on your utilization (a metric you practically have no say over). Guidelines for consultant expectations are not made clear otherwise.

      Good work-life balance depending on the project and team dynamics

      Cons

      Subpar benefits, minimal annual bonuses and raises. Project assignments can be misaligned with your expertise, hindering professional growth. Favoritism plays a major role in staffing decisions, and lack of internal networking can leave you benched. Low performance often results in sudden layoffs with minimal severance.

      Pros

      My boss was a great guy, very smart and very technical. Too bad he wasn't on my team.

      Cons

      Team of 10 comprised of 5 middle managers and 5 engineers; first time ever i've been apart of a team was stacked like that. 2 of the engineers were were an absolute nightmare to work with. The rest of the staff were great people. This was the first time I worked in consulting and all the memes about consulting are especially true here.
