Uninspiring Management

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

Diversity and inclusion is the strongest feature of Guidehouse, in addition to a friendly atmosphere amongst coworkers.

Cons

The management is immature making it difficult to trust their decisions and leading to a high turnover rate. Workers are often asked to put in extra 10 hours weekly over several consecutive months, including the holiday season. Meanwhile, workers are given a workload that needs more than 50 hours a week, and management has no problem telling you to work even more than 50 hours if required. All of this comes with a sever misunderstanding of incentives, and how you can get the best out of people by providing the correct incentive. Rather, management uses cheerful talk, emotional validation, and other methods that create an unhealthy competitive environment amongst colleagues, as many begin to feel under-appreciated and burned out in a relatively short time.

Great starter job

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

The people are nice and offer as much help as possible. Weekly team meetings to highlight investigators accomplishments. Early release on Friday only if you exceed quota.

Cons

You will work well over 40 hours a week with no additional compensation. Unattainable quota to achieve within the standard 8 hr work week. Guidance changes every other week so it’s difficult to follow what is required from you. The work is redundant and repetitive. Low compensation compared to other AML investigator jobs. Please keep in mind that you will be overworked and management won’t blink an eye about you working extra hours. No real room for career growth unless you jump around to other projects after you’ve been on your current project for 14 months.

Very Diverse

Business Outlook

Pros

Super Diverse, you can see it with the hires. Rest as usual depends on your team usual consulting.

Cons

Low promotion rates, salary increases, and bonuses for most. Hard to grow without sacrificing nearly all your personal life.
