Pros

Other companies I've worked for post inspirational "company values" but do little to do business in a way that lives up to them. Guidewire's stated values include Honesty, Rationality, and Collegiality, and the management is sincere about integrating them into the business. For example, when necessary they are brutally honest with customers in the spirit of customer success.

Cons

Guidewire has grown a lot in a short time especially since its IPO in 2012. The systems and infrastructure and process are just catching up--so sometimes the internal processes can be manual or tedious and it is hard to find and easily share information related to doing your job.

Pros

Feels good to work with some many bright people. Very professional, yet human and fun. Company approaches everything (particularly Sales) with confidence in its products and people yet with a sense of humility. Management and executive leaders are outstanding. They established 3 core values that are visible every day. It's not "flashy" or "household" name but it's a super company that's serving an important yet under served market.

Cons

They serve the insurance industry. If that is something your into AWESOME, if not you may not get excited about the mission.
