      Great place to work but not for the faint hearted...

      Pros

      There's lots happening at Guidewire, and many opportunities to contribute, and progress. Guidewire are truly commited to the success of your career, and they expect you to commit to their success - it's a sound deal all round.

      Cons

      In the field, management can be somewhat remote, and it is possible to feel a bit disconnected at times. Sometimes working in EMEA, the administration advice received from US and EMEA offices can be inconsistent. However, in my short time with Guidewire I have found that people are working to address this issue.

      Pros

      Everyone is friendly and helpful. We all work together to solve problems and no one is looking for who to blame. We are trusted to get the job done and not watched over minute by minute. I really like working from home when I'm not travelling. We have the most up-to-date tools to allow us to work together effectively even though we are spread throughout the world.

      Cons

      Still functioning as a small startup. We are starting to transition to being able to handle our number of staff worldwide but management still needs more training in this area.

      Pros

      Guidewire is a great company that builds and delivers software the 'right' way. The people I work with are very highly skilled and you can have confidence that your peers on a project will pull their weight.

      Cons

      Not much to say here. Every company and client have their challenges but when those occur the staff on the ground does not get left holding the bag.
