Pros

Long standing business that isn't going anywhere They aren't afraid of change They listen to employees for the most part Great benefits great paternity leave- 4 months paid

Cons

They went from the best PTO policy I have ever had to the absolute worst. It's moved to 80 hours a year accrual. It is hard to move around let alone up. Engagement is an absolute disaster The product is always broken nowadays There was a huge account take over and employees pay was stolen. Hackers were getting into gusto accounts due to a phishing scam, but why wasn't 2 factor authentication working properly? Their response? Blame banks lol "Gusto 2.0" is the worst decision you've made yet

Pros

The company is growing and growing fast! Managers and Leads are always willing to listen and are always positive. Gusto does offer great health insurance benefits and a generous work from home stipend for those who do not work close to a physical office.

Cons

The company is growing and growing fast! I know I mentioned it in a positive but not all the changes being implemented are at the benefit of their current employees. For those who are doing a lot of the customer facing roles, many of the perks they accepted positions on are no longer an option (ex. flexible/unlimited PTO, quarterly review timelines & now being micromanaged; clocking meetings, core work, phone work etc.)

Pros

Flexible work options, stipends for office supplies (kind of), supportive managers, 4 month paternity leave program, great co workers.

Cons

I have been at this company for almost a year and have really been trying to enjoy my time here. I love the work that I do and I love my management team. The leadership team is another story. I’m not a fan of all the rapid changes being made. Our unlimited pto was taken away although most of us who started less than a year ago barely got to use it. That’s just one example of the many perks that got taken away. It feels like the company stopped caring for its employees, which sucks because that’s one of the reasons I left my previous position. This company really did seem like they were different, they cared not just for the customers but for the employees who service them but that’s turning out not to be true (or so it seems).I am still here because I love the work that I do and I am trying to be hopeful that the changes will turn out to be a good thing. Time will tell.
