Pros

-IINCREDIBLE peers -great health insurance and other benefits

Cons

-Leadership (within Full-stack team)is all talk with support and facilitation, little to no real action will come from their words -Pay is not reasonable for the amount of stress and responsibility put on the employees (especially to live and save in cities like Denver and SanFran) -"People Team" or HR are inexperienced and lack the skills to support. Their actions cause serious repercussions to the lives of the employees -This job is STRESSFUL, DRAINING, AND EMOTIONALLY TAXING. Little to no control over your day, constant work with frustrated customers, push to meet metrics (QUANTITY over QUALITY). -"Unlimited time-off" is not accurate at all and it is very difficult to be approved for PTO -Higher Leadership turns a blind eye to the situation with Customer Service teams.

Pros

There are seriously none if you’re in payroll care, this is the worst job I’ve ever had and to the poster who says we haven’t had other jobs that speaks to the indifference the rest of the company has for engagement. I have had multiple jobs with much more responsibility than this one and when I interviewed they lied and said it would definitely utilize the skills I have been able to develop this far in my career. On top of that my degree qualifies me for much more while I had colleagues with professional licenses that were ignored and should have placed them in a much higher position. Gusto has zero pros to the point that I’m telling local businesses I’m close with to cut ties.

Cons

Notice the recent wave of good reviews after specifically payroll care employees left reviews talking about their experience. All from folks who did not identify as customer engagement so they have zero context to what payroll care is going through. Let that be an example to the shadiness and bs this company will give you. Instead of owning up they are desperately still trying to save face. You will just be a number of you are in engagement. I can’t stress this enough, DO NOT TAKE THIS POSITION IF YOU WANT TO BE HAPPY.
